Earth’s Winter Solstice occurs on December 21st and is the phenomenon where one of the Earth’s poles tilts away from the sun. That day becomes the shortest of the year and the night becomes the longest.
For those of you who are not fans of winter, you will be happy to know that from this particular day onwards the days are getting longer.
Scientifically, during the winter solstice the sun is quite low on the horizon and appears to rise and set in the same place, in the same spot.
This is also why the word “solstice” in Latin translates to “the sun stands still”. And who doesn’t want to sit still as they prepare for winter and the winter solstice?
You will discover that there is a need in most of us for a relaxation in our rhythms, for rest and silence, for calm and harmony…
It is a suitable time to listen to these moments, these feelings and our spirit that speaks to us without words…
Every Christmas there is a certain song that always touches my heart and soul, thanks to the power of its lyrics: “Do they know it’s Christmas time at all…?”.
Not a year has passed since it was first released in 1984 that we don’t listen to it… For me, for my students, for my family, for my colleagues, for the many groups of people we work with, and for my friends.
We put it on HIGH VOLUME and we sing it, we SHOUT it!
We sing/shout it LOUDLY for all the children of the World… For all the families, for all the parents, for the grandparents, for our brothers and sisters, for our sons and daughters…
For those who are less fortunate, less protected. For those who are less comfortable, with less care, with less love in their lives, with less warmth and less gifts…
We sing and come together to join our love and our voices. We sing out loud so that all the Beings of Light and our Angels can hear us, up there in the Heavens…
So let us sing together tonight, my dear friends, my dear brothers and sisters and fellow travellers. Let’s sing loudly, united, as one fist, in Love, in Light – in Light and Support…
Merry Christmas to all of our blessed Humanity… To You, to Me, to Everyone, and to all my Beloved Creatures.
Always here, always yours,
KC The Greek Shaman
MERRY CHRISTMAS!
