PART D – You may find all 12 Universal Laws here.
The Law of Polarity states that there is an opposite for everything in our world; this is necessary for balance within our Universe. Everything has a duality and a built-in opposite that cannot exist without the other. If one side (of anything) has the potential to exist, by the law of polarity, the opposite expression has to exist also.
Paradoxically, these opposing and separate sides are also a part of the same, because together, they make up the whole. A pole cannot exist in a vacuum, it must create a full circuit. This is the beauty of the Law of Polarity, opposite and the same.
Because the physical dualities of nature can be seen with the eye, they aren’t as subject to interference of the ego like conceptual dualities (such as justice and injustice) are. Removing the ego can help us better understand the concept of “what is, simply is.” Opposites are simply complements of each other. Together they make a balanced whole.
Polarity and duality are not the same.
While polarities may be dual in nature, they are not a duality.
Duality demands when one of the poles manifest, the opposite to remain suppressed. It is one pole against the other.
In polarity, each pole needs its opposite in order to manifest. Each pole has the nature of the other contained within it. There are degrees of each pole within the other, but the poles are inseparable.
In fact, each pole has the beginning of the opposite already inside.
The perfect depiction of this is the Ying-Yang symbol. A spot of white in the black (Ying) and a spot of black in the white (Yang).
In polarity, the opposites cannot exist without each other. They work as a background for each other. So, we can feel happiness in contrast to its opposite, sadness. Duality, on the other hand, brings clarity to our desires. It helps us discover what we want against what we do not want. But because dualities are oppositional they do not create something.
Any attempt to deny or suppress one of the poles results in catastrophic consequences, as we can see in history and in many other contemporary cases (politics and religion are great examples in both cases).
Polarities are co-creators of reality.
Acceptance acts as the polar opposite of resistance. If we resist an unpleasant situation, we put our predominant focus on that negative experience. That means that we continue to vibrate at the frequency of the experience we do not want. As a result, we move closer to the negative pole and experience more of what we resist.
The law of polarity is neutral, it exists without judgement and makes no determinations for what you will experience. As mentioned before, this law is mutable, which means that you can influence it.
Regardless of what you may currently experience, within the spectrum of possibilities in every area of your life, you have the ability to change it. You can do this by learning how to switch your thinking between these polarities. The law still exists, but you are no longer under its dominion.
The Law of Gender is a universal law that exists throughout all of nature. It states that everything has its masculine and feminine qualities and that everything has a gestation period. The law of gender exists as inseparable and opposites on the same spectrum because the feminine and masculine principles are contrary forces that are actually complementary. Though each principle has a different function, each force is interdependent.
As humans, we need to balance these sides so we bring in the feminine and masculine and embody both.
The most successful people in the world are able to go back and forth between the feminine and masculine sides of their personalities at will, without a problem.
They can relate to both sexes very well. It allows them to be successful, because not only do they have the creative side of them that is coming forward, which is the feminine side, they also have a focused willful side, which is the masculine side.
Both men and women need to give themselves permission to be both sides, regardless of what anyone else may think.
It all comes down to loving ourselves. In order to do that, you really need to become aware of and love both sides.
A part of this Law is that there is a gestation period with creation most of the time. Yes, there can be instant manifestation, only the majority of the time, as in nature, there is a gestation period.
Plants and trees couldn’t exist without their respective seeds. As it is in all of nature.
It’s easy to believe in something you can see happening, but true faith and belief, is to believe in the unseen.
As we live in this physical world, there is also a spiritual world.
When you create those new intentions for your life, you’re drawing from the formless substance or the spiritual world. Setting intentions daily is vital for you to become a conscious creator of your own life.
Many people stop right before their manifestations occur.
As you lose momentum by having doubts, and not having faith, you slow down your manifestation process or it’s lost.
Therefore, many dreams you have are never realized because of your doubts.
The Universal Law of Rhythm is a mutable law that can be transcended, and it tells us that our universe operates in cycles. Like the pendulum, energy will endlessly flow in and out. Nothing in life shall ever stay the same. There is a guaranteed season and reason for everything. What rises must fall and what goes up must come down.
This rhythmic law appears everywhere in life, for rhythm exists in the flow of everything. It exists in our bodies; there is a time to rest and a time for being active. In nature we can see this rhythm in the change of seasons, the cycles of the moon, and in the tides of the sea. You can even see it in the flow of the economy and in relationships.
While rhythm is inherent and cannot be stopped, it is not pleasant to oscillate between different extremes. Take, for example, your daily moods being in a celebratory mood and then moving to a depressive feeling.
Moving through success and failure will also be destabilizing unless you understand and apply the Law of Rhythm.
Go with the flow of the rhythm.
A critical part of applying this law is going with the flow. Once you understand that nothing is permanent, changes will not surprise you.
Even better, you go with the flow embracing the highs and lows without your emotions being affected. You take the highs to celebrate your efforts, while the lows give you a chance to recharge and restart.
Achieving mastery of the Law of Rhythm is being able to maintain your rhythm so that you do not get swayed by different directions the pendulum swings. A severe pendulum swing, even a positive one, can mess up your rhythm and set you up for a huge drop. The tips below will help you maintain your rhythm and manage severe pendulum swings.
It is impossible to stop the pendulum from swinging, but you can change your mindset through the swings. A vital aspect of this law is that everything is mental, and so your mindset state will determine the effect of the wings on your rhythm. Keep a positive mindset even when you notice the pendulum starting to shift, and in turn, it will help you maintain your focus regardless of the prevailing circumstance.
It’s easy to feel as though life is happening to you and rather than for you. To deal with the lows, ask questions such as “How am I feeling? What do I need to do right now?” We all have choices and there are always opportunities somewhere within adversity. I strive to keep things in perspective and find ways to grow to a higher state of potential when faced with the negative swings.
Being consistent is essential to maintaining your rhythm. You have a plan and keep it at it regardless of the changing times. Do not let good times lure you to relaxing or taking on more than you can handle. In the same manner, persevere working on your plan and efforts during low times, meaning your rhythm is the same through all circumstances.
Happiness should not shift with circumstances if you are aiming to maintain your rhythm. Your happiness should be on things you have control over and which are not susceptible to pendulum shifts. Your health, relationship, and career will change, but something like your goal, values, etc., or even past achievements will not shift like a pendulum. If your happiness is not pegged on things easily affected by the swings, then you can maintain your rhythm.
The highs should not just be about merry and having fun or celebration. When at the top, network, invest, build memories, and these will serve you best in the low swing. It also significantly reduces the impact of the backward swing or the fall so that with each progress, you don’t get back behind.
Once you understand lows are inevitable and also temporarily, you can use them to your advantage. Do not expend your energy on despair and stress but rather take it as a time to regroup, refresh and get ready for the coming rise. Thus, you are never reacting to your moments but maintaining your rhythm, and thus, the swings seem to work for you and to your advantage.
Try not to get attached to outcomes but work towards a mental state of neutrality or indifference. The key is non-attachment. When I detach myself from an expectation, it enables me to control my emotions when there is a severe pendulum swing. As a result, I’m not as surprised or let down by an outcome that doesn’t go my way, even in tough times.
The tide will eventually turn and so it always does. Happiness is based not on external circumstances outside of your control. When you control your emotions, you’re not as affected by the ups and downs and especially when things don’t go your way. I lean into the rhythms and patterns, and the peaks and troughs so I can rise above the negative parts of the cycle of things while keeping my emotions from swinging to extremes. It’s about being in the flow and embracing the swings while maintaining a sense of calm and patience. And I also use the strength of will to remain positive.
The Law of Rhythm vacillates through continued cycles throughout our life. We have the power to flow with these collective patterns within and around us.
When we do so, we can counterbalance the extremes that will lead us to more significant growth and evolve our potential. When we evolve our potential, we advance our soul. Understanding and applying the Law of Rhythm will only move us forward in creating the life we want and are meant to have. It’s all a matter of perspective and trusting the process.
